Two

131×131
Acrylic on canvas
1999
Two colours only. But two important colours to me at that time. On a Saturday afternoon, I started this painting, thinking I would continue the next day. When I came back to the studio and looked at it, I found it exciting. I didn’t think it was finished, but didn’t know how to go on. When that happens the wisest thing to do is to wait. I put it aside, and waited. And waited. But it was always the same. Then one day it struck me… it was finished! The title announced itself.
