A Hard Rains a-gonna fall

120×90
Acrylic on canvas
2009
I was experimenting, covering a first layer of different colour paints that were running diagonally with this light blue and burgundy red. It was laying flat to dry before I planned to develop it more. I can’t now remember exactly what my plans were, but luckily my colleague Marta Dorthea Sagland visited that day, and being a bit more experienced than me at the time, she said with great confidence, “I wouldn’t touch it! It is done!” I have to thank her for that as I realised immediately that she was right! The title was obvious as I was in the middle of my Dylan Series.
