Price : Order and chaos are contrasts, diametrically opposed, one could say. But it might not be that simple. What is order and what is chaos is very dependent on the eyes that see. Some particular knowledge might make something look orderly to some, but quite chaotic to others. In Norwegian we say something like “chaos is the mother of order”. And an experience from this place is the background for this title. I was keen to experiment on this little painting board, 50×40 cm. I covered it with a layer of white, and onto that I poured different blues and a few spots of iridescent white. I liked it immediately, even if I didn’t know what l’d made. At the time I hadn’t made anything like it. I put it to dry and didn’t look at it for a while. I hope it has meaning for everyone who seeks something.
