Price : Some names don’t pass through, but get stuck in a child’s net of consciousness. One that stuck in mine was Wounded Knee, the name of a massacre that I learned took place the same year as my grandfather was born. This painting is meant to be a memorial about that massacre. And I have written a bit more about it in my Blog. The painting is chaotic as was the attack on the teepees of the Lakota people that were massacred that December morning in 1890.
