Price : This canvas was originally bought for my “Year Series”, but as those painting were finished before I came back to it I repurposed it. It had some nice details, among them the orange figure pointing down. And with that as a starting point for a new painting I made this. I am not interested in churches as a place for worship, but a lot of them are the most beautiful heritage of times passed, and should of course be well taken care of! I don’t remember when or where, but I learned that the steeples of churches were pointing to the place where god should be found. I’m quite preoccupied with the universe. And to me it is easy to interpret this pointing to be done at something important. This painting reminds me in a way of one of Vincent van Gogh’s. Maybe some of his images were stuck in my subconscious while working on this piece.
