February

100×80
Acrylic on canvas
2012
February is the coldest month of the year. The snow fall and when it reaches the ground, it doesn’t melt, but makes a soft and deceiving carpet. Every child wants to go outside. Bundled in our winter jackets and mittens, we shouted and laughed and road our sledges down the hills at an incredible speed. Any small hole filled with water got ice on top during a cold night. Then the water drained away leaving the ice as a glass lid. It broke easier than glass with this special sounds of thin ice breaking.
